No, we do not claim our Meer Organics Lipstick to be 100% Organic.
Some brands may use the term 100% Organic even when only some of the ingredients in a lipstick are natural or organic. However, simply having some natural or organic ingredients does not make the entire lipstick 100% Organic. If all the ingredients in a product are not organic, claiming the entire product as 100% Organic can be misleading.
Our lipstick contains Plant Waxes, Plant Butters, Plant Oils, Beeswax, and Mineral Pigments. Beeswax and Mineral Pigments are not organic ingredients, so we do not claim our lipstick to be 100% Organic.
Instead, our lipstick is a Natural, Plant & Mineral-Based Lipstick. Rather than making a 100% Organic claim for marketing purposes, we believe in clearly disclosing what goes into our lipstick and why each ingredient is used.

Meer Organics Lipstick is a Natural, Plant & Mineral-Based Lipstick made with Plant Waxes, Plant Butters, Plant Oils, and Mineral Pigments.
However, we do not claim our lipstick to be 100% Natural. Our Mineral Pigments come from mineral sources, but they may undergo purification and processing to make them suitable for cosmetic use. This process helps control unwanted heavy metal impurities such as lead and arsenic.
Because of this, rather than making a 100% Natural claim, we describe our product accurately as a Natural, Plant & Mineral-Based Lipstick.
We believe that being transparent about every ingredient is more meaningful than making broad marketing claims. That is why we clearly disclose what goes into our lipstick and why each ingredient is used.

No. Meer Organics lipsticks are not formulated or tested to provide SPF protection. While ingredients such as titanium dioxide and natural waxes may offer some natural protection against environmental exposure, they do not provide a tested or rated level of sun protection. If you need reliable UV protection for your lips, we recommend using a dedicated lip product with a tested SPF rating.
